March Hare Music

March Hare Music is a record label founded by Martin Cradick in 1986 for the release of “Mad Hatter’s Club Vol. 1”

Martin ran the Mad Hatter’s Club with Adrian Hicks upstairs at the Jericho Tavern, Oxford between 1985 and 1988.

Here they specialised in putting on weekly gigs with local bands chosen for their love of music and of having fun. They helped kick start Oxford’s period of becoming a centre for live music in the 90’s and noughties.

The album “Mad Hatter’s Club Vol 1” showcased 4 of the bands that regularly played at the club, including Martin’s band “The Particles” and Adrian’s band, “Raindance”

In the 1990’s March Hare Music started releasing more local music, and has grown to promote independent music from around the world.
